Wuppertal

This picturesque town of 700 inhabitants, sits in natural depression of land on the land, the upper reik flowing swiftly through. The river has cut away a gorge which the locals hold as sacred and every summer and winter equinox the locals meet to sing the ‘wupper’ from whence the town gets its name.

The towns economy is based on mining, subsistence farming and fishing, the reik salmon breeds here and in fall the river comes alive, almost appearing to flow the wrong way.
